Thérèse B. Falleur

Thérèse B. Falleur is a Paris-based Belgian singer-songwriter, composer and performer working across sound, image and narrative. With a background in fashion and editorial work, notably as Managing Editor of A Magazine Curated By, where she collaborated with figures such as Simone Rocha, Kim Jones, Lucie and Luke Meier, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Grace Wales Bonner, she developed a strong sense of structure, rhythm and visual composition that now informs her approach to music. Alongside composer Alice Orpheus, she co-founded Studio Ingmar, a sound design studio dedicated to crafting sonic identities for brands, extending a practice shaped by image and design into sound. Her debut album Exquisite Corpse unfolds as a form of audio drama, moving between electroclash and indie pop. Built on pulse and repetition, her songs unfold like audio drama scenes, somewhere in the after-hours. Across her work, voice, structure and rhythm operate together, creating a space where nothing fully settles. Synths loop, scenes repeat and emotions misfire. There is a sense of styled tension running through it, shaped by an attention to texture and form. Somewhere between music and image-making, her practice moves across formats, building a cohesive yet shifting universe, where sound can be staged, constructed, and performed.
